An email that claims a UFO has landed in New York is a fake, security experts have warned.

A new malicious spam campaign is attempting to grab the interest of emailers by claiming that aliens have landed in New York. UFOs spotted in Google Earth However, security experts have confirmed that the emails are fakes and are simply attempting to trick you into installing malware on your PC. The email invites you to click on a link to see a video, but actually leads you to a site that initiates the download of a Trojan horse. Trend Micro said that it had been able to track down the source of the messages. "Other than the spammers’ poor English, analysis of the original email message showed that it was sent from a specific location in Russia," said Jake Soriano of Trend Micro.
