Baywatch star begins Hoffspace

David Hasselhoff has launched Hoffspace, a new social-networking website, to give fans a better chance of interacting with him.

Web User: David Hasselhoff launches Hoffspace website

David Hasselhoff, the man who conquered the globe with his acting and singing, has started his own social-networking website - Hoffspace.

Previous to this, 'the Hoff' communicated with his legions of fans via his MySpace profile, but has set up the Hoffspace social-network site to allow further interaction with his fans.

Introducing himself on his site, he writes with typical Hollywood modesty: "In my travels round the world I have always been surprised that no matter where I go people recognize and know me."

"I realized that while two people from two entirely different countries and backgrounds may seem to have nothing in common, the only thing they might have in common is me... So I decided to start a network where people from across the world might come together and get a conversation started over me," writes the former Baywatch and Knight Rider star.

So far the site has in excess of 12,000 members. More will come over from MySpace as he said that he is unlikely to be interacting with fans any longer through his MySpace profile.

Fans can keep up to date with Hasselhoff as he travels around the world as a force for good. There are videos and photos on offer and he regularly uses the site to chat with fans.
