Team GB might have won more medals than the Australians at the Beijing Olympics, but it's the Aussies who lead the way on the web.
Research from web-monitoring firm Hitwise shows that Australians are making more visits to the official Beijing Olympics site than the Brits.
In terms of the medal table, Team GB is currently third with Australia fifth. But in terms of visits to the official site, Australia is 42nd, with Britain in 105th.
In fact, the overall market share enjoyed by the Beijing Olympics site in Australia is three times more than in the UK, according to Hitwise.
"Maybe the site’s popularity down under is a result of all those Australians checking to see how much further they’ve fallen down the medal table," said Robin Goad of Hitwise.
Earlier this week, Hitwise reported that the Olympics had given a massive boost to traffic to the BBC Sport website.
