The BBC has launched the Radio Pop website which lets you tell your friends what you've been listening to, as well as seeing what they've tuned into.
Currently a "prototype" site, Radio Pop is compatible with Firefox versions 2 and 3 and Internet Explorer 7 and Safari 3, according to the BBC.
However, in Web User's tests, it worked in Google Chrome and Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2 as well.
Once you've signed up to Radio Pop, you can add friends in the same way you would on other social networks and the site will create a log of all the BBC Radio programming that you've been listening to.
To have your listening tracked you'll need to listen to the programmes through the Radio Pop site. You can only listen to live radio and not Listen Again content.
You can also create a list of stuff that you like or want to remember for future reference by hitting the Pop button as you listen.
Despite having been working on the project for more than a year, the BBC was keen to emphasise that the site was very much a prototype.
"We don't yet know how long it will remain live and we make no guarantees as to its reliability or performance but we will do our best to make it better over time and welcome your feedback," said the BBC's Tristan Ferne.
