Kings of Leon have released their new album, Only By The Night on Last.fm a week ahead of its official release. You can listen to all 11 tracks for free, including the new UK no. 1 Sex on Fire.

This is the fourth album from the American rock band and follows a packed summer of live gigs, including a headlining slot at Glastonbury.

Kings of Leon are the latest in a growing list of performers to premier their album first online; Portishead, Sigur Ros, Nas and Motorhead have all released their albums on Last.fm.

Singer Caleb Followill made this announcement on downloading music illegally: "There are a lot of people online that say, ‘these guys have a wonderful life, screw them if they don’t want me listening’, you don’t know what it’s like."

"You don’t know what goes into writing a song, let alone an album. It’s not a day at the office – you’re putting your heart and soul into something and for people to not respect that, that’s crazy," he added.
