Gordon Brown faced his toughest task yet as Prime Minister when he addressed the Labour Party conference on Tuesday. You can read the full transcript of the speech on the Labour Party's official website. The video can also be seen in full on the Labour YouTube channel. The PM is facing revolt in his ranks after a number of MPs called for him to stand down to allow a leadership contest to take place. The deepening crisis over the economy has strengthened the anti-Brown contingent within the Labour ranks. Brown has so far been thick-skinned to calls for his resignation but strong candidates among his Cabinet, including David Miliband, are emerging as rivals for his job. Brown announced a 'broadband for all' scheme in his address, which will see poorer families given vouchers to enable them to buy computers and get online. www.youtube.com/labourvision www.labour.org.uk/gordon_brown_conference
