After hanging upside down in Central Park for 60 hours in his latest attempt to generate some publicity magician David Blaine ended his endurance test with a 'Dive of Death'.
Blaine, who states that his hero is Harry Houdini, plunged more than 13 metres towards the ground before being slowly pulled into the night sky and disappearing.
Blaine is renowned for his feats of endurance - he once sat in a glass box hanging over the Thames for 44 days and was encased in a block of ice in New York for 61 hours.
His latest trick involved him hanging bat-like for 60 hours in New York, though there were some reports on the web that he may not have been suspended upside-down for the full term.
