A report from Broadband Choices has found that slow speed is the number one complaint about broadband services. Based on the number of complaints it has received, Broadband Choices reckoned that download limit restrictions was the second most common gripe, followed by problems with Migration Authorisation Codes (MACs) and having a 'tag' on your line. Not being able to get a broadband connection without also being forced into paying a monthly line rental charge was another annoyance, as were inadequate routers and long-term contracts. "Despite the recent technological revolution and improved internet access through high-speed broadband, it seems that there are still a number of problems that need to be rectified before consumers will get the service they pay for," said Michael Phillips of Broadband Choices. "Many of our top ten broadband annoyances arise from customers not being fully informed of how their broadband contract works and their rights as consumers. Broadband customers should arm themselves with as much knowledge as possible in order to get the best out of their broadband service and provider," Phillips continued.
