MySpace has launched new-look profiles though members will retain the option to use the old-style profiles if they wish.
The new profile lets you hide certain elements such as comments and you can also move elements around so they appear where you want.
According to MySpace, Profile 2.0 is quicker to load and brings several privacy improvements too.
However, members will not be forced to use the new-style profiles at any stage.
"We are not forcing people to switch to this profile, and don't intend to any time soon. I know some people are happy with MySpace just the way it is," said Tom Anderson, president of MySpace.
Initial reactions from the MySpace community have been positive.
"Hey Tom, profile 2.0 is really amazing, and man is it a good idea, but can we please get some more themes?" one member wrote.
"I love that you also gave us the possibility to go back to the profile the way it was... we people have issues regarding change," wrote another.
