Pret A Manger gets free Wi-Fi

A deal between Wi-Fi provider The Cloud and popular cafe chain Pret A Manger will let you log on as you tuck in.

The Cloud

Free Wi-Fi has been unveiled in 60 of Pret A Manger's 130 UK stores, with more branches of the popular cafe chain due to be hooked up to the service by Christmas.

A deal between Pret and Wi-Fi provider The Cloud means that any customer can get online while they eat no matter what kind of device they are using, as long as it is internet-enabled.

Pret had been running trials of the service in stores in Guildford, Reading and Berkeley Square since April 2008 and aims to have all branches connected by Christmas.

Simon Kerry, head of IT for Pret said: "We are delighted to be able to offer Wi-Fi as a free service to our customers. By offering it free we're giving our customers that little bit extra."
