Web User: Kanye West has his onnline presence compromised

Hip-hop star Kanye West is the latest celebrity to have had his online presence compromised.

The Grammy Award-winning singer has had his MySpace, his Google Mail and his Twitter accounts all hacked.

West said that someone is using all three services to spread malicious rumours about him including one that he was open to considering a career as a bisexual porn star.

On his blog he pleaded with his hackers to decease. "Please I beg you, give me a break," he wrote. "Let me be great!! Who have I hurt so bad that they want to destroy me?"

The singer also said in addition to the breaches of his Google Mail, MySpace and Twitter accounts, he had found 12 unathorised Skype accounts under his name.

Security expert, Graham Cluley said that everyone needs to take great care when it comes to online security.

"Everyone who has an online presence needs to take great care to ensure that their accounts are not compromised, and their passwords are not guessed," Cluley said.

"Unfortunately celebrities, however glamorous their wardrobe, are just as human as the rest of us – and just as likely to be make a foolish mistake when it comes to properly securing their online accounts," he added.

West is by no means the first celebrity to have his online identity hijacked.

Paris Hilton had her website hacked into recently, and French President Nicholas Sarkozy had his bank account broken into.

Nigella Lawson and Sarah Palin were also victims of hackers last year.
