8MP, 8GB MP3 cameraphone announced

Sony Ericsson has announced the W995 Walkman camera phone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) event in Barcelona.
The W995 has an 8.1-megapixel camera and a 2.6in screen for viewing your snaps. It also connects to Wi-Fi networks and is optimised for streaming online videos, the company said.
It comes with an 8GB Memory Stick Micro to store video, photos and music. Sony's Media Go software can be used to synchronise media files between your PC and the W995.
Sony Ericsson also announced another camera phone, the Idou, which has an enormous 12.1-megapixel sensor and a touch-sensitive screen for viewing photos and video.
The W995 will be available in the UK sometime in the second quarter of 2009, with Idou following in the summer. No pricing has yet been announced.
