O2 is investigating a problem that has left some of its mobile customers unable to log in to social-networking site Facebook.

Customers attempting to log in to their Facebook accounts since Monday evening have been greeted with server error messages.
The messages include: "Unable to connect to Facebook. Please try again later" and "The requested server does not have a DNS entry".
One customer said in the O2 Forums: "I can't use my internet at all on my iPhone! Has been down for almost 12 hours now." While another said: "Only happening when accessing Facebook, other sites seem fine."
Another O2 customer has speculated that it could be a "mass crackdown on Facebooking in the 'current climate' to increase productivity".
O2, which has over 18.7 million mobile customers, said it is aware some of its customers are experiencing difficulty accessing the Facebook web page via their handsets and has apologised for the inconvenience."
The company has told customers: "At the moment we are experiencing difficulty accessing Facebook over the O2 network. Our technicians are aware of this and are looking into the problem."
