Customise your Gmail Inbox

You can now pick any colour you like for your Google Mail Inbox. With the 'Choose your own colours' option in the Settings menu, Gmailers can now change the colour of everything from the background to the link text. "So if you love purple, now you can stare at it every day," said Manu Cornet, a software engineer at Google. Manu encouraged Gmailers to experiment. "If you ever get yourself into a state where your eyes start to hurt, the Reset button will let you revert to the defaults, so don't hesitate to try out crazy designs and share screenshots," Manu said. Last November, Google announced a new set of themes for the Gmail Inbox. Other free webmail services such as Hotmail also let you choose themes and colours though don’t have as wide a range of choice as Gmail.
