Firefox 3 gets an update

Mozilla has issued an updated version of the Firefox 3 browser, which includes security fixes and resolves some bugs in the software.

Mozilla is urging anyone using the Firefox 3 browser to install the latest version as soon as possible.

Firefox 3.0.7 is available for the Windows, Mac OS and Linux platforms.

"We strongly recommend that all Firefox users upgrade to this latest release. If you already have Firefox 3, you will receive an automated update notification within 24 to 48 hours," Mozilla said in a statement.

You can also update the software by clicking on the Help tab and selecting 'Check for updates' from the drop-down menu.

Mozilla also reminded anyone using Firefox 2 that this version was no longer supported and they should download Firefox 3.

However, users of the beta of Firefox 3.1 are still waiting for beta 3, almost a month after it was scheduled to launch.
