The HTC Magic will be coming to the UK in April, it has been revealed.

Vodafone's website is carrying details of the Magic, which runs Google's Android mobile operating system.

Though the site states that the handset will be available in April, it doesn't give a specific date.

You can register to receive more details when they are released though.

The HTC Magic has a 3.2in touchscreen and unlike its predecessor, the T-Mobile G1, there is no slide-out Qwerty keyboard.

It has a 3.2-megapixel digital camera and connects to the web using HSDPA (3G) technology. It will also connect to Wi-Fi networks.

There is a GPS (global positioning system) chip and an MP3 player.

Several Google applications such as Maps, Search and Talk are built in, with owners able to install other applications as they wish.

No pricing information is available yet.
