You can now access Channel 4's catch-up service, 4oD, from any browser that supports Adobe's Flash Player.

Previously, 4oD was only available on PCs using Windows but it will now be available to anyone using Mac or Linux OS.

4oD lets you watch content from Channel 4, More4 and E4 for up to 30 days after it is first broadcast. The streaming service is free, but includes advertising at the beginning.

However, there are restrictions on content rated to be unsuitable for children.

The BBC's iPlayer service now supports the Mac and Linux operating systems after courting controversy when it first launched for only supporting the Windows OS.
