The MP for Gillingham and Rainham, Paul Clark, has had his website defaced by a hacker calling him/herself 'Red Virus'.

The Labour member's site, Labourisworking.com, is now back to normal, but earlier today bore the message: "I just want to say f**k you. This message from Egypt. Contact red virus."

The hacker has also left an email address registered to a Chinese domain.

"Interestingly, they claim their message is 'From Egypt', yet the email address given is obviously Chinese," said Christopher Boyd of FaceTime security on the SpywareGuide Greynets Blog.

According to a recent blog entry on Clark's site, this isn't the only security issue that has been suffered this month.

"You may have noticed a lack of updates on the blog over the past week. That’s been thanks to the Parliamentary computer network suffering from a computer virus," Clark wrote on 1 April.
