You can watch action from the 2009 IPL, which begins on Saturday 18 April, live online.

UK coverage is being offered by Setanta and you can watch all 59 games of the 2009 tournament live through the broadcaster.

Setanta by Broadband subscribers can view Setanta Sports 1, Setanta Sports 2, Setanta Golf & Setanta Sports News on a PC or Mac with a subscription costing £7.99 a month or £79.99 a year.

The IPL is taking place in South Africa this year after concerns over the safety of players following terror attacks in Pakistan and the Indian election currently taking place.

The tournament involves eight teams who will all play each other once. After the league rankings have been decided, the top four teams will contest two semi-finals, the winners of which will the progress to the final.

Several English players will be taking part in the Twenty20 tournament for the first time, including Kevin Pietersen and Andrew Flintoff.
