Chrome security flaw fixed


A flaw in the latest version of Google's Chrome browser, which could let a hacker take control of your PC, has been spotted.

Surfers using Google's Chrome browser have been told to update to the latest version to fix a security flaw.

Chrome automatically downloads updates but to apply them you will need to close the browser and restart it.

The new version, 1.0.154.59, fixes a flaw that could have let a hacker take control of your PC.

"An error in handling URLs with a chromehtml: protocol could allow an attacker to run scripts of his choosing on any page or enumerate files on the local disk under certain conditions," Google said.

Chrome was launched in September 2008.
