Cybercriminals have managed to hack into the email account of actress Salma Hayek.
Hayek, star of films such as From Dusk Till Dawn, had details of her communications leaked after hackers managed to reset the password on her MobileMe account.
They were able to reset the password by guessing the answer to her 'secret question' used to protect the account, according to reports.
"The public should take this as a warning to be very careful about what 'secret answers' they choose in case they need to ever reset their password," said Graham Cluley of security firm Sophos.
"Too many people when they are asked 'What was your mother's maiden name?' or 'Tell us the name of your favourite pet' choose to answer honestly with information that is a matter of public record, or can be found out by visiting their Facebook profile," he continued.
Hayek is not the first public figure to fall victim to hackers. Sarah Palin's email was accessed by the son of a Democrat legislator in September last year.
Hip-hop star Kanye West had his MySpace, Facebook and Twitter accounts hacked in January and French President Nicolas Sarkozy had his bank account hacked last October.
