BT Total Broadband customers are being offered combined fixed-line and mobile broadband deals for £15.65 per month.
As well as an up-to-8Mbps fixed-line connection, customers get a dongle that can connect to laptops via the USB port so you can get online wherever you are.
It connects to 3G networks and also the faster HSDPA standard where it is available, which is theoretically capable of speeds up to 7.2Mbps.
The deal also offers a 1GB monthly data allowance.
It is BT's first mobile broadband deal for home users, but it already offers mobile broadband to its business customers.
According to BT it is the cheapest combined fixed-line and mobile broadband deal on the market.
Over an 18-month period you would pay £308.08 for BT's deal, whereas the best deals from Orange, O2 and Virgin cost £528.48, £484.56 and £435 respectively over the same period.
"You can use mobile broadband on the train, in the coffee shop or in the park for all the things you go online for, to look at your emails, check the football results, or watch Britain’s Got Talent star, Susan Boyle on YouTube," said John Petter, managing director of BT’s Consumer division.
