YouTube raver 'not Cameron'

The Tories have been forced to deny that a video showing a young man in dungarees at a rave is not party leader David Cameron.

The Tories are strenuously denying that a YouTube video of a rave filmed in 1988 features party leader David Cameron.

The video, called 'Acid House Sunrise 1988 Part 4', shows a group of revellers dancing at a rave.

Around 13 seconds in there is a close-up shot of a long-haired man in dungarees, who resembles a young Cameron.

However, a Tory press spokesperson "categorically" denied that the man in the clip was Cameron.

The video has been picked up by Tory blogger Guido Fawkes, Paul Staines, who headed up public relations for party planners Sunrise from 1988-89.

One commenter on the blog wrote: "I think it does look like him. Or Neil off The Young Ones."

During his leadership campaign Cameron repeatedly refused to answer questions about whether or not he had taken drugs.

He insists that politicians are entitled to a "private past" and are not obliged to reveal every details of their lives prior to entering politics.
