The Hunt For Gollum - watch online

If you're a fan of The Lord of the Rings then you'll be pleased to find out that a free film inspired by Tolkien's novels has been released online.

The Hunt for Gollum is a 40-minute independent film inspired by The Lord of the Rings and is to be released to the internet for free on Sunday 3 May.

You can download the film, which is not-for-profit and not linked to the Tolkein estate, Peter Jackson, New Line Cinema or HarperCollins Publishers, for free.

"This work is produced solely for the personal, uncompensated enjoyment of ourselves and other Tolkien fans," a statement on the website says.

The film is the brainchild of Chris Bouchard, who wrote and directed it.

Fantasy film fans can also find a trailer for the next Harry Potter movie on the web.
