A website has been set up by the father of Claudia Lawrence, the 35-year-old University of York chef who vanished 50 days ago.
The site at www.findclaudia.co.uk features the latest news on the search, posters and photos, together with links to North Yorkshire Police and the Crimestoppers charity, which has offered a £10,000 reward for information.
Peter, the father of Claudia Lawrence, launched the website in a fresh effort to find his daughter who went missing from York on Wednesday 18/ Thursday 19 March 2009. There is also a guestbook section, where people can leave messages and a prayer from the Archbishop of York.
In March, police warned people not to donate to a fake website appealing for money towards the hunt for missing chef Claudia Lawrence.
The site, which has since shut down, claimed to be a Claudia Lawrence Appeal and asked for donations via PayPal, but North Yorkshire Police said the site was not genuine.
Police investigating the disappearance of Claudia Lawrence have also warned people to ignore fake text messages and Facebook updates that claim more women have disappeared.
In a statement, North Yorkshire Police said: "It has been brought to the attention of police that spurious text messages and Facebook entries are being circulated, claiming more women have disappeared. This is not the case."
