Web User's live chat with Google's Kasia Chmielinski has been rescheduled for Wednesday 13 May at 1230BST.

Gmail

It's been a day for technical problems - firstly Google Mail suffered an outage, then the CoverItLive software we use to host the live chats has failed us.

Please accept our apologies for any disappointment caused by the cancellation of today's live chat.

If you're after more information about the Google Mail outage, here is Google's statement:

"A number of our users had difficulty accessing Google Mail this morning. The problem was immediately investigated, and service was restored within twenty minutes.

"We know how important Gmail is to our users, so we take issues like this very seriously, and we apologise for the inconvenience. We encourage anyone having technical difficulty to visit the Gmail Discussion Group or the Apps Status Dashboard."

The chat with Kasia Chmielinski has been rescheduled for Wednesday 13 May at 1230BST.

If you have a question about Google Mail or other cloud-based Google productivity applications such as Docs, you can put them to Google's Kasia Chmielinski on Wednesday 13 May.

At 1230BST Web User will be hosting a live discussion with Kasia.

You won't need to download any special software to take part in the discussion, simply visit www.webuser.co.uk at 1230BST.

Don't worry if you can't make it at that time - a full transcript of the discussion will remain on the site after the event.

And if you have a question that you'd like to put to Kasia, you can add it to this forum thread.
