A new search engine called Hulbee is aiming to simplify the way we search for information and to "take on the dominance of Google".

Hulbee, which launched today, claims to be more effective than traditional search tools because it visually presents possible ways of making a query.
For example, if you carried out a topical search for "Katie Price", you would get a cloud of related terms. From that cloud, Hulbee says you can refine your search more easily without having to open up endless websites hoping to find the information you want.
Andreas Wiebe, chief executive of Hulbee's owner Grossbay, said: "Searching for information on the internet is taking too long: there is just too much. Hulbee reduces search times by presenting information in a manageable list. It’s intuitive so everyone will find it easy to use."
Of course, Hulbee is not the first search tool to launch with the aim of toppling Google as the world's most popular search engine. Recent launches have included Cuil, which claimed to index more pages than any other search engine.
Another search engine called Wolfram Alpha is also expected to launch this month.
Coinciding with Hulbee's launch, Google has unveiled new search options that let you sort and reshape results, such as limiting search results to see only videos, forums or reviews for a given search.
According to Google, the new search options will let people explore their queries to quickly and more easily find what they need.
"We're always thinking about what we can do to improve the search experience, and we think this launch is a good step to help users get quickly and easily to precisely the kind of information they seek," said Juergen Galler, director of product management at Google.
The search options will let you view related searches and have them graphically represented using the 'Wonder Wheel' feature, organise by date and find the most recent results.
