Vote for the world's top location

A travel community site is running an online competition to find the 'Greatest Place To Stand On Planet Earth'.

Web User: Vote for the best locactions in the world

A list of the world's 100 most wondrous locations, including places such as the Great Barrier Reef, is now open for the public to vote on which should be number one.

The list, compiled by travel bloggers and researchers over a six-month period, is part of a competition to find the 'Greatest Place To Stand On Planet Earth'.

Anyone can cast their vote online between now and December 2009, when the ultimate winner will be declared.

To vote you'll need to register with the site first.

British entries include Edinburgh Castle, Tower Bridge, Stonehenge and the Forth Rail Bridge.

The competition is being run by Stood There, a community website for travellers and voyagers to share holiday experiences.
