Google Chrome 2 '30% faster'

Google has released a new version of its Chrome browser, claiming it can load some web pages 30 per cent quicker than its predecessor.

Google has launched a new version of its web browser, Chrome. Darin Fisher of Google said that the new version of Chrome was about 30 per cent faster than its predecessor when dealing with JavaScript-heavy pages. "Additionally, we've added some useful features like form autofill, full screen mode, and the ability to remove thumbnails from the New Tab page," said Fisher. The first version of Chrome was launched in September 2008, seemingly in a rush after news of its development leaked onto the web. As with all Google products, it is officially a beta version. If you already have Chrome installed, it will update to the latest version automatically. If not, you can download it from www.google.com/chrome.
