Sell your snaps through Photobox

Photo-printing website Photobox has launched a service that lets people sell their snaps online.

Photobox, an online photo storage and printing service, has added a feature that lets people sell photographs and photobooks through its website.

The ProGalleries section of the website lets people showcase and sell their digital photographs.

Simply upload a picture, give it a title, choose the print size and set a price.

Galleries are given a unique URL so you can share your link and promote your online store.

The idea is similar to that of Scribd, which lets writers publish their work online and set their own prices for access.

Money earned through sales on Photobox can be reclaimed through PayPal or as credits to use on Photobox.

Photobox charges 10 per cent commission as well as VAT on sales.

"We're committed to empowering our customers with the tools to not only get creative in new ways, but to help them financially in these tricky times," said Mark Chapman, managing director of PhotoBox.
