Results of the local elections are starting to come in and can be seen on The Guardian’s live results map.

Voting for the European elections closed on Thursday night and results are expected to be available from 2200BST on Sunday and the European Commission will broadcast these live online.

Prime Minister Gordon Brown is undertaking a cabinet reshuffle today, amid speculation the Labour Party has done badly in the European elections.
