After days of rumours Apple has finally lifted the lid on its new flagship product at the Worldwide Developers' Conference.
The iPhone 3GS is claimed to be several times faster than its predecessor and runs a new version of the Mac OS. It also has a 3-megapixel, auto-focusing camera.
It also captures video content, unlike its predecessor. It will have voice control features for calling, controlling video playback, and listening to music.
It will launch in the UK on 19 June. It will be available for free on some contracts though if you want to buy a pay-as-you-go model it'll cost you at least £342.50.
The new iPhone operating system, iPhone 3.0, will let you use landscape mode in more applications such as Mail and Messages. iPhone 3.0 will be launched on 17 June.
A MMS (multimedia messaging service) function has been added. You can also download video content onto your iPhone directly from iTunes.
Apple also announced some of the new features that would be in its next operating system, codenamed Snow Leopard.
These include the full version of Safari 4 browser.
Also announced were new 13-, 15- and 17-inch MacBooks.
The Apple Store went offline this afternoon for a period of time, which is generally an indication that new products are being added.
