Gordon Brown spoof hits YouTube

Gordon Brown has been satirised on the YouTube video-sharing website in a new version of the popular 'Downfall' meme.

A new version of the popular 'Downfall' meme has hit YouTube, satirising the poor results suffered by Labour in the recent local elections.

The video requires viewers to make an imaginative leap, replacing Hitler with the beleaguered Prime Minister.

"If only it had been me in '97," Brown complains. As well as recent political scandals, there are plenty of references to modern culture.

"Even Susan Boyle says you've got no talent," Brown/Hitler is told.

Be warned, though - the video does contain some colourful language, as well as biting satire. The dénouement is worth waiting for.

The scene from Downfall used in this video has been used by internet jokers a number of times, with one showing Hitler reacting badly to the news of being banned from the Xbox Live service.
