Labour bashes Tories with viral

The Labour party has created a viral campaign aimed at Tory leader David Cameron's plans for cutting public spending.

The Labour party is looking to give Tory Leader David Cameron a digital lashing with a new campaign it has launched on its website.

The campaign focuses on the party's new nickname for Cameron - 'Mr 10 per cent' - following comments made by the shadow health secretary, Andrew Lansley, who revealed that the Conservatives would cut public spending by 10 per cent across the majority of government departments.

Now the Labour party have gone on the digital offense with its Mr 10% viral which can be shared via websites and Facebook.

The campaign lists what areas would be affected by a 10 per cent cut in funding, including the loss of 15,000 police officers and more than 44,000 teachers the Labour party claims.

Lansley made the comments only a week ago. The speed with which Labour have capitalised on the Lansley's pronouncement reveals the government party's strategy to use the web to engage with an audience of online users.
