An archive containing newspapers from the 19th Century has been made available online by the British Library.

An archive of newspapers from the 1800s has been made available online by the British Library.

The collection consists of around two million digitised pages covers several important historical events such as the Battle of Trafalgar, the Great Exhibition and the European revolutions of 1848.

However, you will have to pay to access the content. A 24-hour pass costs £6.99 and provides you access to 100 articles over that period.

A seven-day pass is priced at £9.99 you can look at 200 articles in that time.

Forty-nine titles are included in the archive, from national to local newspapers, and you can search by keyword, title or date.

You can also print articles, email them or save the articles and images to your hard disk.
