Mozilla has launched the first Release Candidate of Firefox 3.5, the browser it plans to fully launch in the next few weeks.

Firefox 3.5 - which was initially Firefox 3.1 - has seen four beta releases already, as well as a Preview version launched earlier this month.

Improvements to the Private Browsing mode and HTML5 support are among the improvements made in this version of Firefox 3.5, which is expected to be released by the end of June or early in July.

Location-Aware Browsing, which can provide you with localised search results and services, has also been introduced in Firefox 3.5, based on a feature called Geode first seen in test versions of Firefox 3.1.

However, the company warned anyone not already part of its testing community against downloading it.

"The Firefox 3.5 Release Candidate is a public preview release intended for developer testing and community feedback. It includes many new features as well as improvements to performance, web compatibility, and speed," the company said in a statement.
