Vodafone has launched a small device to help customers who can't get a strong mobile phone signal in their homes.

Called the Vodafone Access Gateway, the device will be launched on 1 July and is compatible with all Vodafone 3G handsets.

You can buy it outright for £160 or you can pay as little as £5 per month for the device. It will also come with some new contracts.

The box plugs directly into your broadband line and is quick and easy to install according to the company.

"The Vodafone Access Gateway will boost indoor mobile phone coverage for customers who find they need to move around the rooms in their home to get a consistent signal strength," says Ian Shepherd, consumer director, Vodafone UK.
