George Michael sells car on eBay April 25, 2005 Marc Ambasna-Jones
Pop star George Michael has put a car up for sale on eBay to try and raise cash for his favourite charities.
The former Wham singer/songwriter's car, a black Range Rover with the registration JS STUD (it's to do with his father's Stud farm in Cyprus and not with Michael's sexual prowess) has a "massive stereo fitted...three massive amps under the rear seat and CD changers, bass tubes etc."
Michael bought the car for £50k on 5th December 1991 and it hit the headlines in 1992 for being clamped outside of a friend's house in North London after he headed for the Bank nightclub with supermodel Linda Evangelista.
There is no specific mention of the charities that will benefit from the sale except to say "the proceeds of this sale will be going to worthy causes."
With just over a day to go before the auction closes, the car is already fetching over £7000. If you want to make a bid, go HERE.
In what is a frank and honest explanation of the car's history and condition, the car is described as "not by any stretch of the imagination in immaculate condition," but is "a unique opportunity to own a a car owned by one of the most talented singer/songwriters of modern times."
