eBay birthplace for sale on eBay September 10, 2003 Gail Robinson
The house that eBay founder Pierre Omidyar owned when he created eBay is reported to be up for sale on eBay.
The sales blurb for the condo says the town house is mentioned in the book by Adam Cohen, The Perfect Store, about the beginnings of eBay: “Pierre Omidyar can still remember the exact moment when he realised that eBay, the clunky auction website he was running out of the spare bedroom in his Silicon Valley town house might just change the world.”
If you fancy owning a bit of internet history you'll have to get your bids in by September 12th. The starting bid for the Californian house was $394,500.
