Nuremberg trials archived online
August 12, 2003
Veronique De Freitas

Nuremberg History enthusiasts could soon access millions of documents from the 1945-1949 Nuremberg trials via the internet.

The Harvard Law School has already posted 6,755 pages relating to the trial of Nazi military and political leader on its website.

But it needs extra funding and a further 10 years to put the entire collection online.

The Harvard site includes analytical information about each document, related evidence files and general information about the trials.

The first documents available on the site relate to the Medical Case, also known as the "Doctors' Trial", which saw 23 accused of organising and participating in war crimes.

A search facility lets you search by document or transcript, author, date, titles, trial date and page number. You can also look for a specific document or a group of documents and images of those that were photographed during the trials.
