Jamie Oliver email is a hoax July 25, 2003 Claire Woffenden
Jamie Oliver's book publisher is considering legal action after an email containing a selection of the chef's recipes proves a hit on the net.
The email, which the Web User team has already received five times this week, contains a word document which appears to be Jamie Oliver's latest book - Naked Chef 2.
It includes a cover photograph, tons of genuine recipes and colour pictures of the dishes. But according to Oliver's publisher Penguin, there isn't a new Jamie Oliver book this year and the sequel to his popular The Naked Chef book was called Return of the Naked Chef.
A spokeswoman for Penguin said: "We are aware of the situation and have our lawyers on the case."
The fake book contains recipes from Oliver's previous titles. Amazon sells The Naked Chef for £14 and The Return of the Naked Chef for £9.09.
