Fans of Radiohead could enjoy a sneaky online listen to tracks from the band's forthcoming album.
Songs from
Hail to The Thief have found their way onto the internet two months before the official release of the band's sixth album on 9 June.
In the past Radiohead has supported the web as a way of getting music, but the band's producer Nigel Godrich said they are not responsible for the leak.
Speaking on
www.radiohead.com, he said fans would only be able to obtain unfinished mixes of the tracks. While guitarist Jonny Greenwood said he was "bemused, not annoyed" by the online leak.
"It's the rough mixes, some tracks not even finished," he said. "Not really what I'd want the world to hear, frankly."
The band will release the first single from the album called
There There on 26 May.
