Apple to launch netbook - rumour October 10, 2008 Web User
Apple has announced a special event for 14 October when it is expected to reveal a new 'netbook' laptop.
Apple has sent out invites to the media for the event to be held at Apple's Cupertino HQ in California.
The new MacBook, the focus of much speculation, is rumoured to be made from laser-machined 'bricks' of aluminum.
The anticipation is that Apple will release a notebook made from recyclable, lightweight and strong metal.
Pictures of the new notebook were leaked on a Chinese Mac fan site called eLesson.
The leaked pictures have only served to heighten speculation as to what the new notebook will be like.
Some reports speculate that it could be an entirely new MacBook, or an even smaller new MacBook Pro.
Web User will bring you more news on the 14 October event when further announcements are made.
Apple is notoriously secretive and protective about product launches. Last month the company released a new iPod Nano range as well as a new iPod Touch.
