Global celebrity and Scientologist Tom Cruise has launched a website to celebrate 25 years of acting.
His new site is a homage to himself and retraces his career in Hollywood. Cruise was first cast in a starring role back in 1983 in the film Risky Businesss.
Visitors to the new site can watch a promotional video of the man himself, who starred in blockbusters such as Top Gun and Rain Man as well as all the Mission Impossible franchises.
Cruise also made a few duds, most notably Far and Away with his ex-wife Nicole Kidman.
In a message to his fans on his slick new site he says: "I created this site as a thank you, to you, for sharing the journey with me and to invite you to continue to explore what the future will bring."
Photos of the star adorn the gallery section capturing Cruise in both serious and playful poses.
The launch of the site comes after a two day sit-down with chat-show host Oprah Winfrey. His previous appearance on her show created headlines when he leapt on the furniture and announced his engagement to Katie Holmes.
Cruise makes no mention on the site of Scientology or the allegations that he was addicted to painkillers, concentrating instead on a career that has spanned more than 25 years.
The official website joins a pantheon of other (unofficial) sites dedicated to the star including Tom Cruise HQ, Tom Cruise is Nuts and Tom Cruise Forever.
