The Internet Service Provider's Association has announced the shortlists for its 2008 awards ceremony, which will honour the best ISPs in the UK.
Categories for the awards include Best Consumer ISP, Best Consumer Broadband and Best Consumer Email.
Among the judges is Web User editor Claire Woffenden, John Fisher, chief executive of Citizens Online and Ovum analyst Richard Mahony.
BT, Orange, Tiscali and Virgin Media are nominated for Best Consumer ISP, along with relative minnows PlusNet and Vispa.
The Best Consumer Broadband title will be fought out among Entanet, NewNet, Seriously Internet, Virgin Media and Waitrose.
123-reg gets a nomination for the Best Shared Hosting prize, along with Easyspace, Exa Networks, Namesco and UK-2.
Last year, Eclipse Internet won the Best Consumer Broadband award, with ntl:Telewest winning the Best Consumer ISP gong.
Along with the awards for ISPs, the Internet Hero and Villain of the Year prizes will also be awarded.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London on 14 March.
