Save money on food & drink

5 ways the web can help you save money on food and drink

Food and Drink savings

Buy groceries online midweek
Do your grocery shopping online at Sainsbury's and get free delivery on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays – provided you spend a minimum of £100. Asda and Tesco don't do free delivery but do offer reductions for less-busy, midweek delivery slots.

Find the best deals on groceries
Despite its odd name, Fixture Ferrets is a handy site that can save you a lot of money on your weekly shop. It finds the best in-store promotions at all the main supermarkets, letting you identify potential savings in advance. To access all the deals you'll need to subscribe to the site, which costs £5.20 for the year.

Get good deals on wine
Quaffers' Offers helps you find the latest deals on wines at supermarkets and off licences. Click the Search Offers button and fill in the grape variety, country, colour and type of wine you're looking for and the site will present you with a list of options, including the discounted price and percentage you’ll save.

Eat out for less
Lots of restaurant chains issue money-off vouchers or run regular promotions to attract customers - latest printable coupons at Restaurant Vouchers. These change on a regular basis so be sure to check back once a week or so, or subscribe to the web page's RSS feed.

Eat more frugally
We all have to eat but that doesn’t mean we have to spend a fortune on groceries. The Frugal Living in the UK website has food shopping tips, recipes, weight loss ideas and even suggestions for growing your own produce.
