Free tilt shift photo effects

You can try TiltShiftMaker, which is an easy-to-use web app that lets you upload a favourite photograph - scenes with lots of objects, like trees and buildings, work best - and then apply what's called a 'tilt shift' effect.

This gives a portion of the picture the appearance of a miniature model by sharpening the focused area and blurring the rest of the photo.

The Lillputian-style results are unusual and, with the right photograph, surprisingly effective.
