Close Ad-Aware. Download the latest definition file in a ZIP file from Lavasoft's website. Save it to a temporary location of your choice ie. Desktop. When complete, unzip the contents of the file, either with your favorite ZIP utility or through in-built support of Windows to the installation directory of Ad-Aware which is usually C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE\ Open Ad-Aware and you can confirm the update on the main status screen.
