Hi this is spooky ........I have EXACTLY the same experience...except it was a bloke I spoke to at Alcatel. They told me I needed to upgrade my chipset ...this I did ....still no connection. After another one and a half hours on one telephone call they gave up on me and cut me off...after finding out that I had no network adapters in my device manager window. I tried a neighbours cd and this still did not work...they installed everything in about 10 minutes with no problems. I tried installing wanadoo broadband on my laptop ....still no good. I have been paying for this service now for 6 weeks with no use possible. To add insult to injury they have now cut off my antime access because I am paying for broadband instead. So now I have to use a pay as you go service as well!!!!! Watch out if you have this problem it will not be solved easily. Any other sugestions out there to solve this major nightmare. THANKS
