Hmmm I wonder if TCP/IP has been corrupted as so often does when AOHell has been installed
Click Start | Programs | Accessories and click MS-DOS Prompt. In the MS-DOS Prompt window, type ping 127.0.0.1 at the prompt, and press ENTER.
If you see a Request timed out or Transmit failed error message, do the following:
Right-click My Network Places on the desktop, and click Properties On the Configuration tab in the Network box, click one of the network components that is labeled TCP/IP, and click Remove.
Repeat the above step, clicking all other TCP/IP-related network components and clicking Remove until all are removed.
Click OK, and click Yes when you are asked whether you want to restart the computer.
Click Start | Settings | Control Panel | Network. (you might need to click View All Control Panel Options to see the Network option.)
On the Configuration tab in the Network box, click Add. In the Select Network Component Type box, click Protocol and click Add.
In the Select Network Protocol box, click Microsoft in the Manufacturers list, click TCP/IP in the Network Protocols list, and click OK. Click OK to close the Network box. If you are asked whether you want to keep the newer version of each file, click No.
Click Yes when you are asked whether you want to restart the computer.
Click Start | Programs | Accessories and click MS-DOS Prompt. In the MS-DOS Prompt window, type ping 127.0.0.1 at the prompt, and press ENTER
what is the result now?
Please post your query to the boards, so that others can learn Remember there is no such thing as a simple question, just a question you don't know the answer to, though they are the easiest to answer
